In which Joe is manager of Mooney’s Rare now that Mister Mooney is too old to take care of it until he leaves for Los Angeles.

Verse: To Catch A Mockingbird

📺: In which Candace is, in fact, alive and Joe runs away when he realizes she could take her revenge on him. He now resides in Los Angeles under the pseudonym Will Bettelheim. (Note: Candace follows Joe to Los Angeles and uses the pseudonym Amy Adams.)📖: In which Amy Adams (not Candace) stole 25k of rare books from Joe at Moonies after faking being his girlfriend. Once he realizes the scam, he manages to track Amy down to Los Angeles and begins looking for her to exact his revenge and kill her.

In which Joe doesn’t just read books, he writes them. Upon contacting author and writing Harvard fellowship professor Glenn Shoddy, he is invited into the fellowship. Time to write.

In which Joe has been hired as a librarian under Mary Kay DiMarco. He’s been to prison by now, but was exonerated of Guinevere Beck and Peach Salinger’s murders. He isn’t actively trying to kill anyone and is even trying to better himself, hard as it may be. Needless to say, he's not very good at it.

In which he is a librarian in Madre Linda, employed by Marienne Bellamy. He is married to Love Quinn with whom he raises a son: Henry Forty Quinn. His marriage with Love is very rocky and he finds it difficult to quell his own urges.

Joe escaped the apocalypse by staying in the cage in the basement of Mooney’s for as long as he could. Now he’s roaming around scavenging and trying to survive. He won’t hesitate to kill for what he needs. He remains at Mooney’s to protect the books as he feels those are the most important pieces of humanity that remains.

Happens after Beck’s murder; Joe traded in a book for another: a rare book, one of a kind, with very little prints. Five around the world. He thought he hit a goldmine… until strange things began happening. The book whispers to him at night. His nightmares are horrible and vomit inducing. Blaming the book because what the fuck else could it be, he then tries everything to be rid of it, from trying to unsuccessfully re-sell it, to burning it, but it only ends back on his night stand the next day. He moves apartments when he notes terrible, dank stains in the ceiling of his kitchen and finds countless spiders making webs in his bathroom constantly… but it does nothing nothing to stop the stains and spiders… They follow him wherever he goes. So he decides to be constantly on the move; on the road with the book in his bag. Sometimes he wakes up with his hands bloodied but… that wasn’t him. That was the book! He’s sure of it. How the hell is he gonna be rid of it?

In which Joe is transported into the world of the Entity on a faithful night, the night he burried Ethel Rose. He meant to drive home, but as luck would befall Joe, another omen struck in the shape of a deer causing his car to loose grip on the road. When he awakens, he is helped to his feet by strangers sitting around a campfire.

1 - In which Joe gets a ride in the TARDIS with the Doctor. Will the Doctor convince him to be a better person? Everyone can change, one never knows...2 – maybe the Doctor realizes his companion has a stalker... and he’s starting to know too much.

About Joe

I base Joe's personality more on the book than the show, in which he barely has any regrets, in which he is an actual, full blown asshole. He is not nice. He is sweet to manipulate, not because he actually is sweet. He's obsessive, possessive, and will not hesitate to kill to get what he wants. That being said, he can be sloppy and doesn't always hide evidence well. He'll be the sweetest to you... until he isn't. Despite basing his personality more on the book, I have no problem mentioning the tv show events either, so if that's all you know, that's fine too! Obviously I don't condone what he says or his actions.Joe is a very problematic character and I won't hide that. If you are not okay with this, I urge you to please press the back button and find someone else.Also, and very importantly: Joe will 95% of the time fall for your muse because -- it's Joe. And it's what he does. This does NOT mean I am force shipping. And it does not mean I want to ship our muses. If it happens, it happens, but it isn't the main reason I write his actions. Your muse has every right to reject him and it's totally okay. That's just another plot point to work with! <3

Drama

The rpc is chuck full of it and I want nothing to do with it. Keep your dirty laundry out of my face and we'll get along fine. If you have a problem with me, come to me, don't spread bullshit. And if you do, believe me, I won't fight or scream or write a huge ass response. You'll be very disappointed by how much I do not care what a stranger on the internet thinks of me.

Replies

My lengths vary, but they can be intimidating because I like to write a lot. Don't be. You never have to match my length. As for my pace, I am slow. Drunk turtle slow. I have other obligations: I have a family which takes priority, a 40 hr job, and I'm tired at the end of the day. So don't expect quick replies unless I have sat at the computer for that specific reason, and even then, me being at the computer doesn't mean I'm here to write. Also, I reserve the right to choose what I feel like writing and who I feel like writing with. This does not mean I don't like you. It just means I'm more inspired in that moment. I won't be here all the time. I won't be here every day. Don't chase me... I beg you. I'll be here when I'm here.

Plotting

I suck immensely at plotting. I usually get my ideas as I write. If you want to plot, you're free to approach me, but I probably won't be very good at it and my responses may be brief. Plotting is just hard. Respect that and don't get mad if you think I'm not returning the same 'enthusiasm'. It's not that, I just suck and get stuck when put on the spot like this. lol

Threads & Asks

I don't want to take on too many. I might end up only taking a select few and see as things go. DO NOT TURN ASKS INTO THREADS UNPROMPTED. Please! They only add more threads and I get stressed. I wanna have fun, not be anxious by the amount of threads I have. You can ask me, and I will ask you, but the answer won't always be yes. Please don't take offence if I say no. It is not personal. I don't want to get overwhelmed. I do drop threads sometimes, and I'll do my best to let you know when it happens. I also don't answer ALL asks. It doesn't mean your ask is bad, it just means I'm not sure where to take it. Don't take it personally <3

Smut

I don't mind writing it. It's fun actually, but I'd like to write other things too, so just... y'know, be mindful of that. ALSO, I don't put anything under read more. I use x-kit to cut the posts but I always, ALWAYS mess it up to the point I sometimes even lose the reply. Just a fair warning. Any nsfw will simply be tagged as #usfwEdit: I might have found a way around it so I will attempt to put things under read more as much as I can.

Writing Tense

I will write in first person because I think it's interesting, different, and it matches with the books. :) You do NOT have to do the same. It's just a personal little thing.

Formatting

I don't do super heavy formatting. I'll have icons, and maybe separators but everything else is very minimal. I keep most of my writing in regular font because I know it can be harder to read as small fonts. I make it look a lil fancy but it's nothing huge. I do, however, enjoy doing graphics so I may do more. But it's just for my own fun. Don't feel like you have to do the same.
